IMC Delivers Integrated Adobe Premiere Pro Workflow for NH and AT5

HILVERSUM / AMSTERDAM – NH, the regional public broadcaster for the province of North Holland, and AT5, Amsterdam’s local broadcaster, have successfully completed the migration of their news production environment to Adobe Premiere Pro through a fully integrated workflow developed by IMC.

At the heart of the new production environment is Incite, IMC’s Media Asset Management (MAM) platform, which seamlessly integrates Adobe Premiere Pro with the Dalet Galaxy-Nimbus newsroom system. The solution orchestrates project management, media synchronization, workflow automation, exports, and system integrations, allowing journalists and editors to continue working within their familiar newsroom environment while complex technical processes remain completely transparent.

Preserving the Newsroom Workflow

A critical objective of the migration was to preserve the established newsroom workflow based on Dalet video cards and placeholders. Journalists needed to continue creating stories directly within Dalet-Nimbus and launch Adobe Premiere Pro without changing the way they work.

Because existing commercial integrations could not fully support NH and AT5’s requirements—including deep integration with Dalet, Active Directory, and Single Sign-On (SSO)—IMC developed a tailor-made solution specifically designed around the broadcasters’ editorial workflow.

“The biggest challenge was not moving to Adobe Premiere Pro itself but preserving our existing newsroom workflow. At NH and AT5, journalists need to independently create and publish video content as quickly as possible. Thanks to IMC’s custom solution, our teams can remain focused on journalism while the technology operates seamlessly in the background.— Edgar van Santen, Broadcast Coordinator, NH & AT5.

Automation That Stays Invisible

The new workflow removes the complexity traditionally associated with project and media management. Journalists simply start working from a placeholder created in Dalet-Nimbus. From that moment on, Incite automatically manages every technical step behind the scenes. Media imported into Adobe Premiere Pro—including files copied into local download folders—is automatically transferred to the correct centralized project structure, ensuring that projects remain organized, secure, and immediately available to other users. Editors no longer need to think about file locations, folder structures, or media synchronization. The platform handles these tasks automatically.

Built for Hybrid News Production

The solution also enables a modern hybrid production model.

Journalists can begin ingesting and editing footage remotely on a laptop while on assignment. Their work is automatically synchronized with the central production environment, allowing colleagues in the newsroom to continue editing the same project almost immediately. This significantly improves collaboration between field reporters and newsroom editors while reducing manual file transfers and production delays.

Multi-Platform Content Creation

Today’s broadcasters must deliver content across multiple platforms simultaneously. The IMC workflow allows multiple Adobe Premiere Pro timelines to coexist within a single project, enabling editors to create different program versions for NH and AT5 alongside vertical 9:16 versions for social media—all while sharing the same source media. This eliminates duplicate files, simplifies project management, and accelerates multi-platform publishing.

Fully Automated Delivery

Once editing is complete, the production process continues automatically. Projects are centrally rendered and exported without requiring external transcoding applications. Content is automatically registered in Dalet-Nimbus, delivered to the Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision (Beeld & Geluid) archive with the appropriate audio configuration and clean feeds, and made available for exchange with NOS where required. The result is a streamlined, end-to-end production workflow that reduces manual intervention while ensuring consistency and reliability across every stage of production.
